Wikipedia Step 5

What did you learn about issues related to global warming?

I learned that during the 21st century, glaciers and snow cover are expected to continue their retreat. The projections that the Arctic sea ice will decline vary by source. Recent models suggest that Arctic summers could be ice-free (which is defined as ice extent less than 1 million square km) as early as 2025-2030.  Extreme weather occurrences, such as heat waves, are expected.

How does reading this section influence you perception of Wikipedia as a resource for learning in school? Justify your stance using concrete examples.

I really liked seeing how editors discuss the accuracy of the article and what they believe needs changed.  I like that they cite their sources when they want to change information.  This makes me feel a little more secure about Wikipedia, because I know that the editors are really concerned with providing correct, reliable information.
