EDUC 6809 Introduction Post

Hi, my name is Abby.  I am from Bridgeport, and I am currently a 4th grade long term sub at Salem Elementary.  What I hope to get out of this class is to learn more about how I can integrate digital media into my classroom to enhance my students' education.

I chose the video Language and Literacy: Teaching Students in the 21st Century because this is what it means to me to be literate.  It's not just about reading a book or writing a paper; you can be literate in many different ways and in many different areas.

Funny Cry for Help Ecard: Its called Social Media not Drama Media. Your not going to be nominated for a facebook status emmy.

I chose this joke because it amazes me that people will post ANYTHING  and everything on Facebook!

  1. Great pic! I have a low tolerance for drama in any form and it sure can get ridiculous on Facebook! That's one reason why I am very selective on who I "friend."

  2. I love your picture. It says it all. I don't understand the people on Facebook that have to tell everyone what they are doing every second of the day. And, as far as the drama goes, it has become a huge online high school, where people can enjoy reading gossip and drama all day long. Ugh.

  3. Facebook is so synonymous with drama! Love it! Looking forward to having a class (or two) together again!

  6. Great joke about Facebook, I think I have blocked more news feeds than I have added friends!
